On January 31, 2018 at approximately 7:35 pm officers were dispatched to the Family Dollar Store, 300 Martin Street, in reference to a robbery.

Through investigation, it was discovered the suspect grabbed the victim’s hand as she was reaching over the cash register to hand money to the clerk to pay for her items. The suspect forcibly removed the cash from the victim’s hand then pushed her out of the way as he ran out of the store.

Witnesses at the store describe the suspect as a white male in his early 20’s, tall with a thin build, wearing an eye brow ring on the left eye. Witnesses also stated the suspect was wearing a Rastafarian style sock hat with a short bill on the front, a black jacket, and dark colored athletic pants. The suspect was also described as having black and decayed front teeth.

The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction of travel.
